The Sarnia Organ Donor Awareness Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting awareness of the need for organ and tissue donation through education, awareness and exposure in the community. Our main goal is to spread awareness of the need for organ and tissue donation and to provide support for organ transplant patients.
As well, we give to Transplantation Research (Robarts Research Institute) and University Hospital, our regional transplant centre, both of which are located in London. In addition, we respond to individual requests from recipients and individuals on waiting lists. There are over 1500 people in Ontario waiting for organ transplants. Through education, awareness and exposure we hope to show the community the vital need for organ donation. View Facts and Information at giftoflife.on.ca
We are strictly a volunteer group and rely on donations from service groups, corporations and individuals for our operating funds.
