About SODA

The Sarnia Organ Donor Awareness Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and promoting awareness of the need for organ and tissue donation and transplantation and providing emotional and financial support to donor families, those awaiting and post transplant. We are operated by a dedicated group of volunteers and are not government funded, so rely solely on our fundraising efforts and generous donations from the community.

When possible, we also donate to the Matthew Mailing Centre for Translational Transplant Studies at the University Hospital site of London Health Science Centre, our regional Multi Organ Transplant Program.

On average, there are 1400 people in Ontario waiting for organ transplants. Through education and awareness, we hope to show the community the vital need for organ and tissue donation. View Facts and Information at giftoflife.on.ca
